THE MODEL LIPSTIQUES
A long long time ago is a galaxy far far away, a prophecy was passed to induce quirky and deadly bamboozle lullabies into loveless souls. In early 2005 , 3 humble beings stood up for the test. Armed with controversial issues on life, they decided to do something with the constant hypnotic tunes in their head. After finally solving the Spinal Tap jinx ( case of the missing drummer) these kids are ready to terrorise the state. The Model Lipstiques play saucy rock that will make you roll and has released a 4 song ep entitled Avenging Cleopatra Wong.

THE PINHOLES
Together, Haffiz (vocals), Famie (guitar), Modjo (guitar), Is (bass) and Mat (drummer) have steered The Pinholes from a band formed by like-minded neighbourhood friends to a group of music maestros united by a singular passion for music. They bring the fun back to indie rock. Wanted by the fashion police for their 60s influenced style and never lacked of giving great showmanship. Songs are mostly based upon the happenings of everyday life and happy feeling. This five piece retro pop rock act have the ‘PinHeads’ dancing, cheering and laughing while playing their unique original upbeat sound. Big collars, funky sunglasses and fab flared trousers. A quirky outfit, The Pinholes rock!

MY SQUARED CIRCLE
Formed sometime in 1999, My Squared Circle has undergone many changes- both in terms of personnel and music style. These changes can be seen as a form of progression for this band. Through these changes and progression, the band has explored new boundaries and delved into even newer sonic territories. Urged by the drive to remain musically dynamic, they have fought the malady of stagnancy that has plagued many a band. Over the many years that the bad has existed, the music as well as the musicianship has grown and developed into something that is unique, distinctive and thoroughly inimitable. In the words of the band, they play ‘honest music that they dedicate themselves to with the dirtiness of no bullshit rock 'n' roll’. They have received rave reviews from their lives shows in Singapore and Malaysia and played to their biggest crowd ever during Baybeats 2005, during which they established themselves of one of Singapore’s premier rock bands and our dirtiest little secret ever. They also have had some amount of airplay but not much, but then again…why would any serious musician want to be heard on radio? An EP titled ‘misguided science misinformed’ will be out soon in September and will be under local legend Straits Records. There'll be upcoming shows, an overseas tour and several EP launches. You have been warned, informed and educated. Prepare yourself for the explosion that is My Squared Circle.

LUNARIN
Observers have described their style of music as "Heavy Rock", "Art Rock" and "Alternative Metal". The band itself however prefers the more generic tag of "Alternative Rock" for the simple reason that their influences extend beyond specific genres. The trio enjoys the heavy sounds of artistes such as Tool, A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. At the same time, they are also supporters of the lyrics and melodies of singer-songwriters such as Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith and Iron & Wine.

SURREAL
Surreal delivers a passionate and heartfelt punch to ears that are hungry for honesty, both in words and music. Made up of 5 members whose musical backgrounds are as wide as they are extreme, Surreal shatters the textbook definitions of genres, only to conjure something that is undeniably, a genre by its own.

SET FOR GLORY
Set For Glory is a young band that is making quite a buzz in the local scene in Singapore. With an average age of eighteen, the band consists of Nicolas Hartsuiker (Vocals & Guitar), Faris Shafie, (Bass & Vocals), Titus Tay (Drums), & Sameer Sadhu (Guitar). Fueled by their energetic stage performances, and a passionate love for music, the members of the band come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures stretching continents from Europe to Asia.

AND SPECIAL GUEST!

PLAINSUNSET
Plainsunset was formed in 1994 by 4 guys who were into alternative music and wanted to create their own brand of music. The first EP is entitled “Runaway” and was released by Straits Records in 1999. After playing many shows at the Substation, Youth Park, HMV, Far East Square, Zouk Club, Bat None, The Esplanade ... etc, a new EP called “Love Songs For The Emotionally Wounded” was born. It was released by Wake Me Up Music. For the release of this EP, they toured New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and played shows here in Singapore. Their last EP before they broke up is called “The Gift”. It was released under Wake Me Up Music. It is a thank you gift to all their friends and fans who’ve been supporting them all these years. Played their last show in early 2004. 2006 welcomes back the brotherhood of the sunset.

see you at the show!

Decline Of The Vocalist

ELISE
Inspired by noise, delays and ambience experimentation, Elise is a band that approaches music from an angle of classic indie and dreamy shoegazing. Formed in early 2004, the quartet builds itself on incendiary backbeats fused with liquid basslines. The rhythm section is overlaid with twin-guitar attacks and spacey synths. May all immerse in their music ...

JEREMY SHARMA
Currently pursuing a Masters in Fine Art (Painting) degree at LASALLE SIA College of the Arts, this multi-talented artist has been involved in the local band circuit for the last 10 years, in which he founded and played guitar in bands such as Jade Adversaries and Tiramisu, and also briefly as a second guitar player for punk band Suburban Dammit. In addition, he was also previously active in local art collectives such as Kill Your Television (KYTV) and theatre acts such as Post Theatre and The Arts Fission Company. Having since gone on to pursue a personal artistic direction, he has now released his first solo recording ‘Nuclear Families’, a labour of love born out of songs, ideas and collaboration.
